about Argentina and the history of
its debt restructuring.

On
June 3, 2011, Ambassador Chiaradia
sent letters to members of the House
Committees on Foreign Affairs and
Financial Services, as well as to
the members of the Senate Committee
on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs,
in connection with the bills introduced
in the House and Senate known as “Judgment
Evading Foreign States Accountability
Act of 2011” (H.R. 1798 and
S.912, respectively). The letters
enclose a document - elaborated in
connection with previously proposed
legislation (H.R. 5564) but fully
applicable to the newly proposed legislation
- whereby the Embassy of Argentina
rebuts inaccurate statements contained
therein. "
