| Argentina–United
States Argentina and the United States have a longstanding
friendship relationship; a bond grounded in reciprocal respect.
Both countries treasure a vast bilateral agenda that for more
than 180 years has been enhanced on the basis of common views,
over fundamental principles: freedom, democracy, and the rule
of law, and nowadays we work in converging actions to promote,
through a constructive and respectful dialogue, peace, security
and stability, both globally and regionally.
Our shared and closed positions with respect to peacekeeping;
fight against terrorism as well as its promotion and financing;
climate change; food security; human rights, and drug trafficking,
define an important part of the bilateral agenda.

Bilateral Cooperation
In the field of Science and Technology cooperation there
is a broad exchange of information, training and joint programs
between government agencies, and a significant progress in
cooperation in high-technology areas, with the promotion of
meetings and mechanisms in the scientific sector to address
issues such as nanotechnology; assessment of the atmosphere
and space; alternative energies; biotechnology and science
applied to health and the environment, among others.
Likewise, our both countries enjoy mutual trust, and a high
level of cooperation, based on a long working relationship
and the respect for ingrained state policies held up to the
present, in the fields of nuclear non-proliferation, nuclear
security and arms control. |
